Accessibility at Monsieur Crêpe.

Updated April 2026

We want every guest — online and in the café — to have a good time. That means a website that works with a screen reader, a keyboard, or voice, and a room that welcomes people with mobility, sensory, or other disabilities.

On the web

This site aims to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We review the site periodically with automated tools and real assistive tech. What we do:

  • Semantic HTML with proper headings, landmarks, and language tags.
  • A skip to main content link for keyboard users.
  • Visible focus rings on every interactive element.
  • Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA on body text.
  • prefers-reduced-motion support — animations turn off if your system asks.
  • Alt text on meaningful images; decorative flourishes (the wisteria sprigs) are marked aria-hidden.
  • Structured data so screen readers and search engines share the same facts about our hours, address, and menus.

We're not perfect. If something on this site isn't working for you with the assistive technology you use, tell us — we fix fast and we say thank you.

At the café

54 W. Sierra Madre Blvd is a street-level space with a single step at the entrance. The boulevard has metered parking and two nearby ADA-accessible spots. The bathroom door is 32 inches wide. Dogs are welcome on the patio. Large-print menus, quieter seating, and help reading the board are available — just ask. We'll come to the curb if that's easier.

Legal

Monsieur Crêpe complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the California Unruh Civil Rights Act. If you believe the site or the café has fallen short, please contact us first so we can make it right — we'd rather fix it than argue about it. We also keep a written record of accessibility reviews and fixes, which we're happy to share.

Merci d'être venu.
